One of VES's popular modes of study that many candidates from all over India prefer a lot is the Distance/ Correspondence Learning mode.

This mode, unlike the regular mode, does not require the candidate to attend lectures. Therefore, no travelling to the institute is involved. You can do the entire programme from the comfortable confines of your home as per your convenience and schedule. No compromise has been made with quality or content as far as the distance learning mode or any other mode is concerned.

Progress of the Programme

Progress of the Programme

  • There are five study modules altogether.
  • The first four modules are theory-based.
  • The fifth and final module is practical-based.
  • All modules have three assignments each.
  • The assignments will be sent to the trainee along with the modules via courier.
  • Assignments contain both objective-type and subjective-type questions based on the course content.
  • Adequate time is allotted for completion of assignments of each module.
  • Submission of assignments has to be made via courier.
  • On submission of assignments of the previous module, the next module is sent to the trainee.
  • The trainee can email or call the designated course-coordinator and ask for clarification of doubts regarding course content or may seek guidance in solving assignments.
  • The teacher training programmes conducted through the Distance mode are assignment-based.
  • You are evaluated based on your assignments, and there are no written examinations.
  • On completion of all the assignments of all five modules, marks obtained in each assignment are calculated and total marks obtained out of the grand total marks are calculated
  • Grade is allotted on the basis of the percentage obtained.
  • Trainee is sent a Diploma Certificate and Mark sheet showing the marks obtained by her in each module.
  • If the trainee wishes to intern at a school in her locality, then we may issue a reference letter to her recommending her for internship to the respective school.
  • Internship is completely optional.
  • Trainees will get one full year from the date of admission to complete all the five study modules.s

Structure of the Programme

Each programme consists of five study modules altogether. The first four modules are theory-based whereas the final module is practical based. Each module carries 200 marks. All the five modules together carry a grand total of 1000 marks. The theory modules comprise subjects like child psychology, child care and management, theories and practices in early childhood care and education, child health care, child teaching methodology etc. The final module contains practical oriented subjects like lesson planning and report-writing, importance of play, how to conduct play and recreational activities for children etc. Assignments of all the five modules have to be completed and submitted within one year from the date of admission. However, the trainee can complete the entire course within six to eight months as per her convenience.

Duration

All Distance Learning Courses are of one-year duration. However, they can be completed at anytime within one-year period.

Eligibility and Documents

Eligibility
Our courses can be undertaken by anyone who fulfils the following criteria

  • Age:18 years and above with no upper age limit
  • Qualification: 10+2 level or above

At the time of enrolment, you will be required to submit the scanned copies or photo copies of the following documents:

  • Any one of the following photo id proofs
    • Passport
    • Aadhaar Card
    • Driving License
    • Pan Card or the like
  • Mark sheet or certificate of latest qualification
